In our January – March 2025 newsletter we provide an update on a number of points. Additionally, the DSRA is seeking new Committee members from Blocks A, C, and D and invites those interested to contact them.
- AGM Announcement: The Dance Square Residents Association’s (DSRA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Monday, 12 May 2025, at 6:30 pm. The meeting will include reports from DSRA activities and discussions with Y&Y, the managing agents. Nominations for the Committee are open until 28 April 2025.
- Service Charges: Outstanding matters on Y&Y service charge accounts from 2022 and reserve fund balances.
- Heating and Hot Water Billing: Arrears for heating and hot water bills, including those from past billing providers, are being invoiced. The Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS) for 2023-2024 heating bills has been credited.
- Fire Safety and Site Issues: A fire in the bin room at 17 Pear Tree Street highlighted ongoing fire safety concerns. The DSRA is working on improving fire safety and addressing maintenance issues in the gardens and common areas, including replacing dead box hedges with more resilient plants.
- Wider Neighbourhood News: There is concern over the proposed redevelopment of Finsbury Leisure Centre and changes to park gate-locking policies at Seward Street Playground. The DSRA encourages residents to participate in consultations about these issues.
